We want to help

by | Jan 8, 2020 | 0 comments

This summer, Australia burns in unprecedented waves of mega fires. Just days into January 2020, the haunting threat to people, homes, and wildlife remains very real. Our team at ezyCollect is safe, but as we return to work after the holiday season, our thoughts are with our fellow Australians whose lives are forever changed by this disaster.

Many of our customers are family-run businesses operating in rural regions. They will be affected by the current drought and fire devastation. Still, as manufacturers and suppliers, they are among the crucial supply chain that will help Australians in need to rebuild. We stand with them.

That’s why ezyCollect will be donating 100 per cent of new monthly subscription revenue this January to help national bushfire disaster relief efforts.

We’ve chosen to make our donation to Foodbank Australia in support of its central role in coordinating the distribution of essential food supplies to stricken communities, now, and in the months and years ahead. For every $1 donated, Foodbank Australia can provide $6 worth of supplies to affected communities thanks to its partnership with the food and grocery sector.

At ezyCollect, we bond over food 🙂 Our international food days are legendary. We cook, we share, we eat, we laugh. More than half of us in the Sydney team found our way here from 11 countries of origin. For us, sharing food means family, friendship, togetherness. Food feels like home.

Today, our home is on fire and like everyone, we want to help.

About Foodbank Australia:

Foodbank is a not-for-profit, non-denominational organisation operating in every state and territory in Australia. Its national and state-based teams work with the entire food and grocery industry including farmers, wholesalers, manufacturers and retailers to source food and capture donations. Foodbank Australia collaborates with suppliers, manufacturers and transporters to produce key staple foods that don’t come in sufficient quantities via rescue channels.

To distribute the food, state teams work with an army of volunteers to pick, pack and get the food to where it’s needed.
